Full Body Assessment

It's very important to have a full body assessment before you start any exercise or weight-management programme.

Your personal trainer needs to know your current level of fitness, your limitations, whether you have any injuries or weaknesses, or are recovering from illness or an operation.

If you are aiming for weight loss, she will ask you to complete a full diary of everything you eat and drink over five days, so that she can look at your current diet, suggest changes and, if appropriate, recommend an eating plan tailored to your specific needs.

In terms of fitness, you will then both discuss what your goals are, and what you hope to achieve, before she works out your own, personalised, training plan.

The assessment consists of the following:

Heart rate

Blood pressure

Height and weight

Postural analysis

Body composition/ BMI

Circumference measurements

Lifestyle management and goal setting.

A personalised training programme and plan of action.

Regular reassessments to monitor your progress.

Bespoke sessions

The importance of the client/trainer partnership is that each client is unique and therefore each session is bespoke. That's the secret to getting the right exercise regime and nutrition advice for my regular clients.
